Pokestops
Pokestops are landmarkers placed around the world that are vital to your progression in the game. At these stops you can get various items like pokeballs, potions, revives, and eggs. These items are extremely important because it is very easy to run out of them. Hit up pokestops whenever you see them.
Poke Gyms
These are hotspots in the world where the various factions go and fight each other. You have to fight other pokemon to gain control over the gym. Also, by leaving your pokemon in the gym, it gets stronger and you get rewarded every 20 hours it is there. You can also have different players place their own pokemon there to make the gym stronger.
Legendary Pokemon
There is currently no way to catch a legendary pokemon
How to level up/evolve pokemon
Everytime you catch pokemon you get star dust and candy. These are both used to level up pokemon. Star dust can be used for all pokemon but candy can only be used on its specific one. You obtain these by catching pokemon and transfering them to Professor Oak.
