- Start out on Defense
A mistake that many players make is that they deploy all their cards right away and rush in to attack. Although you may deal some damage, your opponent will take this opportunity for a counter push
- Play calm
Do not get antsy and start pulling out the big guns and do not get flustered when things do not go your way. There have been tons of times when I have had a tower destroyed right away and ended up coming back, it is possible.
- Use Arrows
For almost all levels this is an asset of a card. This card can take out skeletons, goblins, minions, and dish out all sorts of damage to swarming cards like barbarians. This card is extremely versitile and can defeat cheap, swarming units. Many players would agree Arrows, a Fireball, or Zap is a must have. I reccommend arrows due to it costing only 3 elixir.
- Watch opponent
Overall, read your opponent. See what kind of a strategy he is using and do your best to counteract it.
- Know what Crown to go for
It is not always best to go for a 3 Crown victory. Although it ensures that your opponent will lose, it may expose your weaknesses by attacking. It is usually better to play on defense unless your opponent has spawning cards like elixir pumps, tombstones, and goblin huts.
- Attack on the opposite side
If things have been at at stalemate for a while, give the oppostite lane a shot. This will catch your enemy off guard allowing you to deal damage. Mix up the lanes!
- Use good combos
Be wise with the order you spawn your troops. For example never spawn a Musketeer in front of your Knight when pushing. Always put melee units in front of range units. Thats just how the world works
- Donate, Donate, Donate
Donate to your clan is a must. You can only ever use eight cards in your battle deck so why hold on to so many extras. You even get gold for donating.
- Use Gems wisely
According to multiple top players, spend your gems on gold instead of chest or speeding things up. There will always be more chest to get for free. Also the higher you level up, the more you will realize how little gold you have. Also, you can use gold to individually purchase cards from the shop. Why buy random things when you can pick what you want?
- Bring one defense
Try to get one defense in your deck. These are so useful for things like hog riders, giants, and other strong pushes. These help take a ton of damage away from your tower and deals extra damage to troops. Use the Tesla Tower due to its value and diversity.
- Spend gold wisely
Do not waste gold on cards you do not use right away. You will deplete your gold and not be able to upgrade the cards that you need
- Spend elixir efficiently
Be careful not to spend lots of elixer on all of the same type of troop. For example, one arrow spell can take out a whole group of weak fighters
- Join a clan
This one should be a no-brainer but join a clan. This can only help you by being able to recieve cards and earning gold by donating. Feel free to join my clan Finest Platoon!
- Practice with others
In your clan fight players about the same level as you to try out new decks without losing trophies. This is also can be very fun with friends.
- Get the Crown Chests
Try to get these because they boost your deck a lot and have a good chance of getting epics and maybe even legendaries. These can be tedious to get but they are soooo worth it.
- Play in morning and at night
By playing at these two times you can always collect your wooden chests. These take four hours each and you can hold two at a time. Is it better to be on more? Yes, but this is a good start.
- Taunt the enemy
Just taunt the enemy! This can be a moral ruiner for him/her and may just end up helping you win. Can i guarentee it does a lot? No, but every little bit helps.
- Use the right cards
Make sure your deck of cards has a good flow or pattern to it. Do not have a lot of tanks or ranged cards in a deck
- Try other Battle Decks
Do not be stubborn about your deck. It is very hard to make a perfect deck and if things are not working out, try other decks
- Push for trophies
There is no reason not to push for trophies in this game. In Clash of Clans there were multiple reasons, but this is not Clash of Clans. Getting more trophies only helps you get better chests, which gives you more cards and gold.
- Get achievements
There are not a lot of achievements in this game, however always utilize what you have. There is just simply no reason not to get these free gems, although there may not be that many.
- Watch TV Royale
This is a great way to watch how some of the best players play. Use the tactics that they use to help boost your knowledge of the game. These players have spent thousands of dollars on the game. They mean business!
- Take a break
This game can get a bit frustrating over time. There is no point playing it 24/7 due to the chest system. Just give it a break and rest yourself. Go eat something. Go outside. Do whatever you need. However, this brings us to the next point and which is:
- Do not give up
Your only going to get better if you play. If you stop for a week you miss out on lots of chests and goodies throughout that week.
- Research cards
Take a look at certains cards strenghs and weaknesses on forums and blogs. You may learn a few things that you would have never had thought to try. Also, look up entire decks and read about how one is suppose to use them
- Build up a strong push
If you can get a Giant with two Witches or Musketeers trailing behind, there is a good chance that tower is gone for. To help create a good push always spawn slow units first followed behind slower ones
