Pokemon Go in Purdue Lafayette (Tips and Tricks)

Image result for purdue lafayette

School has just recently started at the Purdue Lafayette campus with lots of new people flocking into this huge engineering school in Indiana. This past summer, a huge game was recently released that went viral in just a few days. This game is Pokemon Go, and the Purdue Lafayette campus makes it a primary target to catch lots of pokemon. Continue reading this article to find out everything you need to know about Pokemon Go in Purdue Lafayette.
The first thing you need to understand is the three factions that are represented. In the game you have three options: Valor (red), Mystic (blue), and Instinct (yellow). These were all meant to be equal teams compared to one another, however that is not the case at all. Although you can see all three teams represented at the various gyms around, there are two that dominate. Those two teams are Valor and Mystic. Instinct can be seen at some, but not a lot. Although there are a few Valor gyms, by far Mystic out beats them. This means if you have yet to join a team or faction I would highly advise to join Mystic. This way on average you will have an upper hand on taking over gyms.

Another advice I have for you is to leave Pokemon GO running as you travel from class to class. You can easily walk 3 miles in one day without even thinking about it. This can boost your eggs by a lot because it can get extremely tedious grinding out those eggs. Be sure to leave your phone on low power mode in order to conserve on the battery.

There are gyms and pokestops virtually everywhere around campus. It is almost impossible to run out of items with all of the pokestops around. By all of the schools, you can come across one every couple of minutes or so. For the gyms there are about 10 scattered around or slightly off campus to find and take over. They generally aren't all controlled by one faction which means you can strengthen or boost a gym whenever you want. Gyms are constantly being taken over so don't expect to hold one for over 24 hours.

It can be a little difficult to find rare pokemon. I have seen a few starter pokemon in the most random places so be sure to check around because you might get lucky. There are a ton of common here which is good for leveling up. However, if you go to the Hall of Chemical Engineering by the Engineering Fountain. You can find a rare pokemon there all the time! For some reason, everytime I go past there I have Cubone pop up on my map. This is super weird, but just about every time I have walked by one has been there. This is a pretty rare pokemon and you might as well keep walking by there to catch more. So far over the past few days, I have caught 6 of them there!!!
